Whether you donate household items or shop at our Thrift Store, you provide for people in need.

Donations That Do Good!

Whatever you donate to The Union Mission—gently used clothing, furniture, or household goods—helps our shelter guests live better lives and move into permanent housing. All of your donations are tax-deductible! And when you shop at The Union Mission Thrift Store, 100% of the proceeds support our ministry!

Bring your unneeded items to our Donation Drop-off, open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you have questions about the items you can donate to our ministry, please contact us at (757) 627-8686, ext. 604.

Both Donation Drop-Off and The Union Mission Thrift Store are located at the ministry’s main campus: 5100 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502.

The Thrift Store is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

100% of the proceeds from items sold benefit our ministry.

We provide new and gently used clothing to all of our homeless guests while they are staying in our shelters. And when they find permanent housing, we bless them with donated furniture, housewares, and other helpful items to start their next chapter of life.

Donation Drop-Off

Donation Drop-Off is located at The Union Mission campus. As you enter at the light from Virginia Beach Blvd., pass the Overton Center on your right, turn right into the parking lot, and drive up to the covered bay. Our friendly warehouse staff will be happy to help you unload your donations and provide you with a receipt, if you like.

Donation Drop-off is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tax Receipts

If you would like a tax receipt for the goods you have donated, you can create one here.
