Camp Hope Haven is a vital outreach to the children in the communities of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and the communities surrounding the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Its primary purpose is to touch the lives of needy inner city children by providing a free week of camp (although, it is open to all who wish to come.)

Each summer almost 500 boys and girls spend a week of fun and fellowship at the camp located on the same grounds as Hope Haven Children's Home and Hope Haven Adult Home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The camp provides a variety of activities including swimming, horseback riding, sports, games, arts and crafts, and Bible study. A well-equipped gymnasium provides an outlet for fun and excitement on rainy days.

Perhaps the most thrilling aspect of Camp Hope Haven is that many of our

former campers come back to Camp Hope Haven to give back to others what the Camp has given to them. In the process, they grow and mature to become young men and women of whom we are very proud. Serving as Counselors, they realize that in the process they will grow in character, maturity and in the Christian faith. The light of joy on the faces of our campers and workers is thrilling. Campers and Workers alike participate in a life-changing experience that builds self-confidence and an awareness of the saving power and glory of Jesus Christ.
