Job descriptions and responsibilities for each are provided for our most common positions although not listed in full; however, the main responsibilities are listed for a better understanding of the types of tasks involved for each position. Senior Counselor

  • 17 years of age or older
  • Ability to get along with different types of people
  • Able to demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a child
  • Able to lead a devotional for the campers in your cabin
  • Comfortable talking to a child about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Be responsible for up to 12 children ages 8-12
  • Help facilitate sports, nature, craft activities
  • Responsible for documenting and handling behavioral problems
  • Greet parents on Monday and Friday

Maintenance Worker

  • 15 years of age or older
  • Able to get along with different types of people
  • Able to demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Accountable to your supervisor and willing to do what is asked of you
  • Responsible for grass cutting in the barn, pool, and cabin area
  • Responsible for cleaning the bathhouse and portable toilets
  • Responsible for helping clean up after meals and cleaning the Shafer Building bathrooms
  • Responsible for taking water to water stations and collecting trash
  • Responsible to return equipment in the same condition that it was given to you

Kitchen Worker

  • 15 years of age or older
  • Able to get along with different types of people
  • Able to demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Responsible for helping set up before meals and clean up after meals
  • Accountable to your supervisor and willing to do what is asked of you
  • Responsible for helping prepare afternoon and evening snacks

Barn Hand

  • 15 years of age or older
  • Able to get along with different types of people
  • Able to demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Accountable to your supervisor and willing to do what is asked of you
  • Must know how to saddle a horse
  • Must demonstrate ability to lead a horse with child on it
  • Responsible for helping feed and care for animals throughout the day
  • Able to work well in hot weather
