Project Romania

The Union Mission Ministries sends teams twice a year to minister to the poor in Romania.

Humble Beginnings

When Rev. Ted Bashford led The Union Mission the Lord placed a burden on his heart for the hurting people of Romania. The first team traveled there in the year 2000. Since that time, God has accomplished much — and there is much more to come.

The Needs are Great

The Roma people are one of the poorest people groups in the world today. Since the Mission began sending teams in the year 2000, God has accomplished much through The Bashford Foundation, a non-profit that allows us to work in Romania under the direction of The Union Mission Ministries.

Ministries include an annual pastor’s conference, Vacation Bible School, a medical and vision clinic, a ladies conference, and a family feeding program. More than a thousand people have accepted Christ since this ministry began. In 2009 the foundation purchased 110+ acres to build facilities modeling The Union Mission Ministries and Hope Haven. Plans are in progress to build a self-sustaining facility to house and care for children and the elderly.
