Dennis

Dennis is an artist and wants to be a graphic designer, but has only completed the 6th grade. He’s been married 17 years, has two children, but has only worked in temporary jobs. His wife gave him an ultimatum. “Get yourself together, hold down a full time job for two years and we’ll move to Florida as a family.” He didn’t hold up his end of the bargain, and she asked for a separation.

With no job and no place to live, he came to The Union Mission. “The Lord shut doors, but made a way for me to leave and a way to come back.” He joined the Mission G.E.D. and Micah programs. He’s working on his G.E.D. and working in the Mission’s warehouse. “When life didn’t go the way I wanted I got angry at God. But, it’s still up to you to choose. If you can’t trust Him well enough to commit to His ideas, you’re on your own. Now, I have a chance to do it right.”
